Anything farther than 1.5hrs will need to be discussed with our volunteer coordinator, Bella. Her fees vary but can be discussed prior to making arrangements for travel & adoption.

Travel carries can be provided with any adoption for an additional fee. Prices listed above. 

Transport

We are happy to announce that we now have a volunteer coordinator, Bella, who is our designated transporter! She is willing to travel up to 8 hours one way to deliver your newly adopted pet from HH, while providing individual care and attention to your pet along the way. 
Bella lives in Cincinnati and loves to travel to new places! She also loves animals! She has successfully transported many of our newly adopted pets already and looks forward to many more safe travels. Bella’s travel fees (listed above) go directly to her. If you have any questions for Bella, please let us know! We’d be happy to put you in touch with her to plan your next adoption transport! 


We also use Mel’s Neighborhood Rodents as another transport option across the US and Canada. If you live farther than 2 hours and can’t travel far, please consider transport through Mel. You can find more information on their website.
Currently, only hamsters, mice, gerbils, and rats can be transported through Mel. If you choose transport through Mel, you will need to pay our adoption fee (paid to us), and then also her transport fee (paid to Mel).
